Russell Young Farm - Bed and Breakfast Old barn in winter

 Equestrian Information

The Russell Young Farm Bed and Breakfast can offer you and your horse miles and miles of enjoyable driving or riding on either dirt roads, or logging trails in the area surrounding the Green Mountains.  Your drive or ride will take you along the Green Mountains where you'll be able to look up and see Mt. Abraham, Mt. Ellen, and Camel's Hump  (three of Vermont's highest peaks) along with some of the most beautiful scenery Vermont has to offer.

Things to know about bringing your horse

1. We can accommodate only 2 horses at a time.  (If you would like to    bring more, please call us, as there are additional barns in the area).

2. If you would like to drive or ride from Inn to Inn, with your horse, please call us as we can organize this activity with Firefly Bed and Breakfast, which is near by.

3. Accommodations for horses include a fenced in paddock, water, and run in shelter (12 x 24).

4. You would have to bring your own grain and hay, and  proof of up to date shots and coggins test.

5.  Dirt Roads in early spring can be muddy.

6.  Vermont discourages use of off road trails until May 30, because of muddy conditions.
